Components with less surrounding furniture
The shared figures and playgrounds now give an embedded host more room to do its own work.
The components package is meant to sit inside an existing Astro page as well as inside the Alkemist site. This pass removes space that did not help a reader: ready-state diagnostics no longer reserve a figure footer, while loading, errors, and downloads remain available.
Models and shader studies size themselves from their containers. Model camera controls now place Front, Top, Wireframe, and Spin under View options; Shift + scroll is the deliberate zoom gesture, leaving ordinary article scrolling available. The shader remains the documented two-source interference study, not a general GLSL editor.
The Playground can put a live preview first, with parameters and generated source in disclosures. Page-like previews can request a bounded fixed height. The embed lab places the same components in a plain host page; the component catalog retains the parameter and source examples. Empty contents lists disappear, search stays scoped to its host, and post lists do not reserve a cover gutter when no usable image is available.
The narrow-host browser review caught a search results panel that extended past its host; standalone results now stay in the document flow. Audio and Video put skip, volume, speed, captions, and loop under Settings while keeping the primary playback row visible. Search still requires a built Pagefind index, and a dense chart still needs an author to choose a workable width and data presentation.
